Oreo Balls

So I guess I should update this with awesome recipes, like all the other awesome bloggers, right?  I love to cook, but I usually don’t have the time; however, I did find a great recipe for Oreo Balls.  Yum! Check it out:

What you’ll need:
1 package of regular Oreos
1 block of cream cheese (you can even get the reduced fat on, it’ll still taste awesome!)
Vanilla or Chocolate almond bark
Andes Mints Crushed*

*you are more than welcome to replace Andes mints bits with anything you would like to drizzle over the chocolate coated Oreo balls.  Hazelnut always seemed like something good or even crushed peppermint

Stick the Oreos in a Ziplock bag and shake, pound, hit, etc.  Crush the Oreos to a pretty fine grain.  This should take ten minutes at the very most.  Put the mashed Oreos in a bowl along with the softened cream cheese.  Blend or mix together until it becomes a paste.

Now make about 1 inch balls of oreo -stick them on a baking sheet, place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill and harden.

After 30 minutes, melt chocolate into a liquidy mix.  You can melt both the decretive chocolate (andes mints) and the almond bark.  I like using the white almond bark to coat the balls and the brown andes mint mix to decorate.  Dip the oreo balls into the almond bark and place on cookie sheet.  After all are dipped, add Andes mint chocolate drizzled over each oreo ball.

Chill for 45 minutes or until it is hardened.
